Privacy Policy
Saved Ink is a private, read-only paper made from your own X bookmarks. This policy explains the data we use to provide it and the choices you have.
Who is responsible
Saved Ink is operated by Tair Asim in Barcelona, Spain. For privacy questions or requests, email hi@saved.ink.
What we receive from X
When you connect X, you authorize read-only access to your X id, name, handle, profile picture, and bookmarks. You also authorize a refresh token so Saved Ink can look for new bookmarks after you leave. Saved Ink does not request permission to post, like, follow, send messages, or change your bookmarks.
Saved Ink imports only posts from public accounts. Posts from protected accounts are skipped and are not stored, summarized, or embedded.
What we store
- Public posts you bookmarked, including post text, author, date, links, X identifiers, and references to media hosted by X.
- Headlines, summaries, topics, sections, and search embeddings made from those posts. They describe the post, not your personality, beliefs, health, politics, or other personal characteristics.
- Your X identity, encrypted access credentials, edition choice, sync state, and subscription status from Stripe.
- Essential security and diagnostic records needed to prevent abuse, investigate failures, and operate the service.
Your paper is isolated to your account. We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, publish your bookmark history, or use submitted post text to train models.
Why we use it
We process this data to provide the service you ask for: authenticate you, import and organize bookmarks, create your private paper, search it, keep it current, manage billing, provide support, and protect the service. Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of our contract with you, your X authorization and consent, our legitimate interest in security and reliability, and legal obligations such as accounting.
Who processes it
- X provides identity, bookmarks, and media through the official X API.
- Convex provides the database and backend.
- Vercel hosts the web application.
- Stripe handles subscriptions and card payments. We do not receive your full card number.
- Voyage AI creates search embeddings from the minimum public post text needed for search.
- OpenRouter and its selected model provider create headlines, summaries, topics, and sections from the minimum public post text needed for that task.
AI providers are configured not to use submitted data for model training. We do not provide your X access token, bookmark history as a list, payment information, or Saved Ink profile to those providers. Some processors may handle data outside the European Economic Area under contractual and legal transfer safeguards.
Retention, X changes, and deletion
We keep service data while your account is open and remove content that X reports as deleted, withheld, or no longer public, together with its generated summary, categories, and embedding. Disconnecting X stops future imports and revokes our X access. Deleting your Saved Ink account removes stored X content, generated data, tokens, and settings within 24 hours. Stripe and accounting records may be retained where law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
Saved Ink uses essential cookies for sign-in, security, and account continuity. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral tracking on your paper.
Your choices and rights
You can revoke Saved Ink in X, disconnect X, cancel your subscription, or delete your Saved Ink account. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may complain to your local data-protection authority. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Age and changes
Saved Ink is not for children under 16. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be shown in the product or sent to the contact information available to us before they take effect.
